The Supreme Court on Friday granted the Trump administration's request to temporarily shield redacted grand jury materials related to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe from the Democrat-led House.

House Democrats are fighting to gain access to the materials, arguing that it being made public will give Americans a fuller image of how the Trump administration behaved during the two-year investigation.

The Mueller probe failed to establish any criminal coordination between the Trump campaign and Moscow. And though the special counsel did not declare that the president did not obstruct justice, the attorney general, and then-deputy attorney general determined he did not.

The order, which Chief Justice John Roberts signed, pushes against a lower court's order to disclose the materials, which was set to go into effect on Monday. Roberts has given House democrats until May 18 to file a response.

The Trump administration says it plans on filing a formal appeal against the lower court decision.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff is planning to selectively release information from some of the 53 declassified transcripts of witnesses that testified before Congress regarding the FBI’s Russia probe into the Trump campaign. This move, comes after a long battle against Republican colleagues, who are fighting to make all the transcripts available to the American public, said a U.S. official, with knowledge of Schiff’s plans.

Schiff has been fighting the release of the transcripts.

The decision for Schiff to publish a selective portion of the 6,000 pages of transcripts comes after a recent public showdown with Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, who is also fighting to make all the transcripts public. In fact, Grenell reiterated in a letter Wednesday that if Schiff doesn’t make the transcripts public then he will release them himself.

Interestingly, the committee voted unanimously in the fall of 2018, to make all the transcripts public after declassification, which has already been done.

“Schiff’s planning to selectively leak to the liberal media what he wants, while keeping the truth from the American people,” said one source, familiar with Schiff’s plans.

Schiff’s office did not immediately respond to an email for comment.

A congressional source familiar with the issue said “the committee voted in the last Congress to publish all the transcripts together, precisely to avoid any staged release calculated for political effect.”

“Schiff has had possession of most of the redacted transcripts for a long time, but he used the fact that he didn’t have all of them as an excuse not to publish any,” said the congressional source. “If he selectively publishes just some of them now, it’ll be rank hypocrisy.”

Allegedly Schiff is also having his senior subcommittee staff director and counsel with the intelligence committee contact the various heads of the intelligence community asking them to challenge plans by Grenell to release the transcripts, which were declassified prior to his arrival at DNI.

Several sources, familiar with Schiff’s actions, have stated that his refusal to release the transcripts is based on information contained in the testimony that will destroy his Russia hoax propaganda.

“Schiff has been sitting on a lot of these transcripts for a long time,” said a Republican congressional source. “They were using this as an excuse to ensure that the White House wouldn’t have access to the transcripts, now he wants to selectively leak and that’s the game he plays – he’s definitely shifty.”

The top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday demanded Chairman Adam Schiff release the transcripts of interviews conducted by the panel during its Russia probe in 2017 and 2018, now that they have been cleared by the intelligence community.

“Schiff himself voted to release these transcripts and claims he wants them out,” Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., told Fox News Thursday. “There’s no reason he can’t publish them all today—except that he really doesn’t want the American people to see how little evidence there ever was for the Russian collusion hoax he advocated and continues to advocate.”

SOURCES SAY RUSSIA PROBE TRANSCRIPTS AFFIRM OFFICIALS CAME UP EMPTY ON COLLUSION: 'SCHIFF IS IN PANIC MODE'

Earlier this week, House Republicans sought over 6,000 pages of transcripts pertaining to interviews conducted by the committee in 2017 and 2018, after the panel in September 2018 voted on a bipartisan basis to approve their public release.

Then, acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell notified Schiff, D-Calif., that the redaction and declassification process was complete, and that the records were ready for release, putting the ball in Schiff’s court.

The Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell will release 53 declassified transcripts of witnesses that testified before Congress regarding the FBI’s Russia probe into President Donald Trump and his campaign, which have been blocked for nearly a year by the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, according to the letter obtained by SaraACarter.com.

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-CA, has refused to release the transcripts to the public, despite a unanimous vote by the committee to do so in the fall of 2018. Numerous sources, who have spoken to this reporter, have stated that Schiff’s refusal to release the transcripts is based on his fear that doing so will destroy his public credibility in pushing the Russia hoax propaganda. Grenell’s recent decision to threaten to make the documents public was first reported Wednesday by Byron York with The Washington Examiner.

“I AM ALSO WILLING TO RELEASE THE TRANSCRIPTS DIRECTLY FROM THE ODNI, AS TO ENSURE WE COMPLY WITH UNANIMOUS AND BIPARTISAN VOTE TO RELEASE THE TRANSCRIPTS,” DNI RICK GRENELL

“All of the transcripts, with our required redactions, can be released to the public without any concerns of disclosing classified material,” said Grenell in his letter Wednesday. “In the interests of transparency and accountability, I urge you to honor your previous public statements, and your Committee’s unanimous vote on this matter, to release all 53 cleared transcripts to all Members of Congress and the American public as soon as possible. I am also willing to release the transcripts directly from the ODNI, as to ensure we comply with unanimous and bipartisan vote to release the transcripts.”

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch released 143 pages of new records today from the U.S. Department of Defense, showing extensive communications between the Pentagon’s Director of the Office of Net Assessment James Baker and Washington Post reporter David Ignatius.

Lawyers for Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn alleged in a November 1, 2019, court filing that Baker “is believed to be the person who illegally leaked” to Ignatius the transcripts of Flynn’s December 29, 2016, telephone calls with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak. The Washington Post published Ignatius’ account of the calls on January 12, 2017, setting in motion a chain of events that lead to Flynn’s February 13, 2017, firing as National Security Advisor and subsequent prosecution for making false statements to the FBI about the calls. U.S. Attorney John Durham is reportedly investigating the leak of information targeting Flynn.
