.. LightestSon and I have been working diligently the past couple of days... On our new, super secure, server. All previous problems should be resolved now. As I promised previously our fortress is now secure. No one need worry when they cross the threshold.
Also, I would like to mention: I have just learned of a case in which an innocent person has been blocked from signing up. This was due to snares and discouragements placed to eliminate the cause of the previous DDOS attacks. I also was snared and denied access to the site one day by mistake. If you have experienced difficulties signing up, please try again. I found it necessary to clear my caches and use a link other than: http://www.inphinet.net/ It had been associated with a bad address in my browser. I had difficulty shaking the issue on one of my machines. If you know anyone having such issues reaching the site: Tell them to try a secondary address such as: http://www.inphinet.net/threads/featured
Interesting... The recent event was actually the second such attempt at my home. During an attack at the old server, my entire neighborhood hub went down for a day, but did not take out my personal router or box. Atticus' router was fried several times during that period. Hopefully InPHInet's disassociation with Atticus/Houdini will eliminate future attacks. A new server configuration has also made this site less vulnerable to DDOS attacks.
The odd thing is (LOL) this is EXACTLY how things started when Art Bell came back on air. They went after the web site and his "box" got fried. There is no such thing as coincidence.
Ticks and Leeches? Well.... Let's See. Where shall I begin? The server was under constant attack for days after it was moved to it's original home. Draining of all the normal resources before they could be used for InPHInet. I was locked completely out of the site in a snare. Soon after, my entire home network was disabled by a total communication breakdown power failure. First the land line. Then, because I was scrambling around for a solution. And, a system restore message said I must disable my firewall to complete the procedure successfully, Nearly the moment the firewall was disabled all communications in my home went dead. The repairman said the box was fried. Just a coincidence? Anyone think that?
Who are you? Who are you? Lyrics: Monday you (figuratively) sent me flowers Tuesday made me feel (very) stupid Wednesday the world was ours (virtual) Thursday you didn't prove it (and many many other times) Friday fell back in love (in a friendship sort of way) Saturday we didn't talk Sunday you said you needed space (two verses redacted) Monday you had my heart Tuesday you had me screaming Wednesday we didn't part Thursday you didn't mean it Friday I shook it off Saturday you got it wrong Sunday I said I needed space (redacted) Who are you today? Will you be the sun Or the pouring rain? Who are you tomorrow? Will you make (them) smile Or just bring (them) sorrow? Who are you gonna be (line redacted) Who are you gonna be When there's nobody there? Who are you today? 'Cause I am still the same Who are you? Who are you two? (REPEAT ad nauseam)
Note from Management: Previously, and recently, some people have had the laughable idea that I am drooling over their content... So much so, they are deeply concerned I want to steal it from them! Don't get me wrong. I enjoy reading it. And, I enjoy associations with genius types (usually). But, I receive no royalties, or rewards of any kind. That is not the reason I am here by any means. If you leave in good standing, you may take your content with you. In my vision of truth: I am simply providing a free site where people may publish and have their content reach an audience. A venue where people may establish friendships, communicate and socialize with one another if they choose. A place where (hopefully) atuned individuals may gain perspective, appreciation, admiration from an energetic collective. Perhaps, if all went well, to eventually market their artistic endeavors. So, let it be understood, I am the giver, not the taker here. Just never try to commandeer my site, or steal it from me again. I own this site and intend to maintain my ownership of it. This site represents 1 year of my labor. How much would 1 year of your labor be worth to you? Would you allow anyone to steal the keys and lock you out?
InPHInet is now back online at my old server. I will continue database reconstruction tomorrow. At this point we have recovered data up until September 29. Threads are not currently present on the portal page because only recent threads will appear there. They can still be viewed by clicking "Threads" on the InPHInet FORUMS page. Your passwords are whatever they were on September 29. If you can't remember what yours was then (I couldn't) you can request a forgotten password email. Or, I will give you a temporary password tomorrow. Good Night Rose
