I also like to set a buy limit price after hours for one day.
So far, I have always received the shares at a lesser price than my limit.

I had a fortunate error during the warrant exercise process.
A bank I no longer do business with put a 9 day hold on funds moved in.
This resulted in missing a deadline at my online brokerage to complete a portion of the warrant exersize.
Consequently, they sold some shares to cover the late funds.
I was quite upset at first, However:
When they did, it so happened they were sold at a price quite a bit greater than my cost basis.
And also the price had gone down by the time I repurchased resulting in a nice profit due to the error.
