I remember reading about the few companies that continued to do well in the Great Depression. Martin Guitars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, for instance. The intrinsic value of well made objects or the brilliance and integrity of the owner of the companies let some of them sail right on through. Gold? You would have to be my age to understand how long this paradigm has been in place. Personally, I would never buy a commodity at an all time high. I ask myself why so many are so anxious to sell?

It is my belief the synergy between Trump and Bannon is an essential element. Every great orator with important thoughts to convey needs a correct counterbalance in an interview. Consequently, I became completely frustrated with the voluminous trashy ads at Gateway Pundit. Lately there were more ads than content. It was so bad I no longer wanted to provide links to their pertinent news articles here thinking that is what everyone might be seeing. I was able to view their article listings at Truth Social without the advertising. However, the number of crummy ads within in the articles themselves made them impossible to read. The happening was so annoying I twice wrote GP to complain. Today, I switched to totally free ad blocker 'Ghostery' and voila, no ads whatsoever at Gateway pundit. Other sites seem to be loading quicker, too.

Apr 13, 2023 at 7:48 PM - Rose: It is a celebration here for another reason for us tonight. It took a week or so of me losing sleep and removing all the food stored in my refrigerator's freezer, removing the back panel and attempting to correct a malfunction. However, it is now running perfectly. Water was dripping onto the refrigerator top shelf. Ice was forming on the bottom shelf of the freezer. When I looked behind the back panel everything looked good except the drip tray was completely frozen. I tried several days to clear the drain line with hot water and ice removal, baking soda and vinegar in the small drain hoping it might work. I didn't want to bother Zeus with this. After a week or so, I asked him to pull the refrigerator out from the wall to look at the drain line at the drip going to the drip tray on the floor and Eureka! The limiter was completely clogged and after cleaning it all is working perfectly again. This refrigerator is like an old friend by this time. Last time it was a defroster timer valued at near $500 by a repairman (just enough to make repair silly). I was able to take it off and ultimately find a replacement on eBay for $18. It was fairly straightforward to find the area and plug in the replacement. Another time it was just a tiny little fan circulating air in the freezer. As I said, my refrigerator is quite an old friend better than a new one to me. I mention this for those who may be startled by the current cost of new appliances. The trick is to observe and work in short timeframes so your freezer items do not get too unthawed.
